What a beautiful restaurant!! Hard to imagine you are in Ripon. The service was impeccable. Our server Nathan was outstanding.
The food was good but not great which is typical for a new restaurant. We had appetizer, soup, caprese salad and the fish special.
We will definitely be back and will request Nathan as our server and will try the pork chop which looked amazing. -

We waited 1.5 hours for food once seated during a not so busy Wednesday... During that wait the waiter never came by once to ask if we wanted drinks. We get the food and it's wrong for 2 people. They recook the food and drop it off but then never come back again. Finally 2 hours into dinner in a generally empty restaurant everyone has their food, we eat but steak for one person who wanted medium is just well done not even close to medium but doesn't say anything just because it's been 2 hours and we can't get anyone's attention...we eat get the bill and waiter comes 20-30 minutes later to get it again. So 2.5 hours no refill or even asked, food for 2/3 of us wrong, one person boxed a pizza and never was given the box because it was mistakenly tossed, and food was just okay. I'm also a very melo person a never complain this might be the first time. I love surlas and will continue to go there but it doesn't matter if the food was just okay, if the service is terrible I won't go again. Go to his other spot surlas instead I'd say.
PS the bartenders here are amazing so if you do just sit at the bar -

We were directed and seated at the time of our reservation. Out table was in the restaurant's outdoors area. The atmosphere there was quite nice because you could hear the live music being offered. Through out the evening we saw more of the bus boy then we did our waitress. The restaurant was at full capacity which could have been the issue.
The food was good (rib eye steak Chicken pastas and the Halibut) I was unable to post pictures of dessert due to the fact that the service was taking too long. I ended up having to take it home. This restaurant is not a fast-paced environment. If your are a person who has no time to waste seeking a meal, this place would not be for you. But, if you're not in any hurry and would like to enjoy a nice meal. I would definitely recommend it. -

It was a pretty lovely night & experience. We were celebrating my mom's birthday. It was a group of 7 and we had the chance to try a little bit of everything including desserts; it was delicious.
It's an up in coming restaurant and has grabbed the attention of a lot of folks. If you're wanting something a little more intimate, I would suggest a Sunday! It's the day we decided to go on; we were seated immediately (We had reservations) and it was really nice and easy-going.
Can't wait for more of that housemade foccacia & pasta! Until next time... -

This was my first time trying this place.
First impression: beautiful restaurant, I love the fact that the kitchen is exposed. The place is peaceful and relaxing. The hostess and servers are very amable and welcoming. We had the Fritto Misto appetizer and it was great. The only reason I am deducting 1 star is because the Pan-roasted Salmon was lacking in taste, beautiful presentation but it just wasn't great.
